At the gates of Grenoble and the Oisans massif, on the Route Napoléon, the Domaine de Vizille-Museum of the French Revolution brings together on one site, a prestigious cultural heritage and a natural setting conducive to relaxation.

A must-see regional heritage site, the museum and its park, which make up the Domaine de Vizille, bear witness to two thousand years of history.

After being a place of power under the Ancien Régime with the dukes of Lesdiguières, the castle of Vizille became the "cradle of the Revolution", when the assembly of the three orders of Dauphiné met in the room of the Game of Palm on July 21, 1788 to demand the convocation of the States General. Historical monument, former home of the Duke of Lesdiguières (17th century), the Perier family (1782-1895), and presidents of the Republic (1925-1960), the castle now houses the Museum of the French Revolution
Created in 1983, the museum presents a unique collection of works of art, in permanent evolution and enriched over time. Dive into the heart of artistic creation and cultural transformations in Europe, from Enlightenment to Romanticism.
The landscaped park labeled "Jardin remarquable" offers a multitude of atmospheres, with original floral creations.
The country park is a privileged meeting place with nature and wildlife (animal reserve deer)
