Impressive fortress built between the twelfth and sixteenth century located in the old town and overlooking the whole beautiful city of Annecy. It was the residence of the counts of Geneva (House of Savoy, after a long period of neglect due to the decline of the city, until, in the twentieth century, finds again its splendor and again the fortress is taken into account. In 1947, castle was the army headquarters, and in 1953 the town hall buys it for its subsequent use as a museum. it currently houses the museum of Ethnography and Folk Art and office-museum of the alpine lakes.
