The château de Mont-l'Évêque is located in the Oise on the commune of Mont-l'Évêque. The has undergone many modifications between its founding in the 13th century and the 19th century. In turn a fortress, residence of the bishops of Senlis then a private residence, its history is closely linked to those of the village and to the abbey of the Victory, which borders on the domain.
It is one of the rare successful examples of the troubadour style in architecture and has several outbuildings, a chapel built with 15th century elements and a large English park.
Although it is a private property and not a public space, the terrace as well as part of the park are open to the public all year round, freely and free of charge, within the limits indicated at the entrance. . Access to the buildings is strictly prohibited for reasons of privacy and security. The interior of the castle can be visited occasionally, accompanied by a guide or the owner.
