Hohenurach Castle is located in the town of Bad Urach, in the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It was built around the year 1025, on top of a hill overlooking the town. During the Middle Ages, the castle was the center of power for the surrounding region and housed the local counts. After a period of decline, the castle was renovated in the 19th century and today is open to tourists.
