The Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the symbols of Bavaria and of Germany in the world. It 'a fairy tale castle par excellence, built by the "fairytale king" Ludwig II (1845-1886) in 1869 on the stage designer Christian Jank project. The idea to build it in the style of the old German feudal residences came to the monarch after remaining almost struck by a visit in 1867 to the medieval fortress of Wartburg in Thuringia.

Neuschwanstein, it located in the south of Bavaria near the border with Austria, dominating from its height of 965 meters the countries of Füssen and Schwangau and the magnificent landscape, characterized by several lakes among which stands out for its beauty the small Alpsee. To enjoy a view of the chateau must reach the bridge of Maria (Marienbrücke), named in honor of Queen Mary, mother of Ludwig II, which is suspended above the gorge of Pöllat.
 
Walt Disney, rimastone fascinated, Neuschwanstein taken as a model for the castle of his famous animated film "The Sleeping Beauty" (1959). This home is also present in all the Disney parks in the world. The lounge is richly furnished, are an homage to the musical genius of Richard Wagner, from "Tannhäuser" to "Lohengrin" through "Tristan and Isolde", "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" and "Parsifal", a hymn to romance and the ancient Germanic legends.
