Malahide Castle is one of the highlights of any visit to Dublin. Located near the seaside village of Malahide, the castle is steeped in history, playing a central role in the medieval Irish history. The Castle has just gone under a multi million euro renovation and restructuring which makes it the jewel in the crown of Irish tourism. There are a number of tours available including the actual castle tour and a tour of the Walled Gardens secrets. The park is open to the public, including the sylvan walks, playground, tennis, playground and putt, golf and soccer. The experience of the revitalized visitor including the renovated castle, the secret garden and new shopping centers and restaurants opened in the autumn of 2012. The renovated castle, has a botanical interpretive center, a museum, a visit to the exciting castle, exhibition of history Irish and local, walled gardens and a large Secret Meadows West Walk, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs shops, offering a truly unique and memorable one.
The castle, with its subsidiaries attractions, is operated by Fingal County Council, who also supervise the Castle Demesne. The main castle, museum, interpretive center and walled gardens can be visited for a fee. The castle has a structure of eating, and adjacent is a craft store. the most famous rooms of the castle are the Oak Room, and the Great Hall, which shows the history of the Talbot family.
