The Castle of Giovinazzo is a medieval fortress located in the historic center of the coastal town of Giovinazzo. Originally built by the Aragonese in the 13th century, the castle was later enlarged and renovated by the Normans and the Swabians. The square-shaped structure features four cylindrical towers and an inner courtyard. Over the centuries, the castle has suffered numerous damages due to wars and earthquakes, but has been restored and now hosts cultural events and temporary exhibitions.
