The Matsumoto Castle was built in 1504 and abandoned in 1871. His figure is majestic, the black color as a whole is still present and impressive. Why the inhabitants of the city of Matsumoto nicknamed him "the raven castle."
The architectural style of this building is unique: the central fortified tower is 5 orders and includes 6 floors and is surrounded by other smaller towers.
It is the oldest castle in Japan with these features.
The Matsumoto Castle is located in the park of: cherry trees in spring and maple trees in autumn create the wonderful atmosphere throughout the year. From here you can also see the Japanese Alps.
