Turaida Castle (Latvia)

Within the Gauja National Park it is this beautiful medieval castle. The park easily reached from Riga to which it is connected by a bus and train service. ridiculously low prices. About 50 minutes to arrive. Once near the park, take the cable car and you patience and courage weapon to walk the several kilometers of trails in the forest to the castle. The forest is luxuriant.
