The romantic castle complex and its tower dated around 1200, looks back on a history that changes several owners. The Neuchâtel-Prussian family of counts called de Pourtalès bought the castle in 1884 and changed the complex into a summer residence, giving the castle the appearance it has today.
Since 1954 the museum has been set up inside the castle which shows the history of its past inhabitants.
The eastern smoking on top of the tower offers a unique experience and spectacular views of the lake and the mountains.
