Riegersburg Castle (Austria)
Styria See list of castles in Austria
In 1138 we speak for the first time in an official manner of the castle of Riegersburg. The exact age of this castle is a mystery. It is known for certain, however, that in the past it was considered as "impregnable" or as the "strongest fortress of Christianity".
Today, as today, guests are welcome in the "impregnable" fortress. Passionate or quiet visitors take the diagonal glass elevators to reach the castle.
Those who want to do some 'movement and to feel the authentic sensations of the past, walk from the city center to the parish and pass the seven gates of the fortress along the way.
